The power of Revysol

Discover the three key advantages of Revysol and why it's a differentiator in the fungicide market.

BASF has been a leading player in the fungicide market for nearly three decades, continuously pushing the boundaries of fungicide efficacy and performance. Since the early 1990s, innovations from BASF have set new benchmarks in performance, paving the way for innovative solutions in crop protection.

BASF continues to innovate on that legacy with the latest innovation, Revysol®.

Why should someone care about Revysol? Here’s a high-level summary…

  • Revysol, scientifically known as mefentrifluconazole, is the first and only isopropanol azole available on the market.
  • It belongs to the triazole class (i.e., a Group 3 fungicide), but it stands out due to its unique molecular structure and properties.
  • This innovation translates into three key advantages: broader spectrum of activity, stronger activity, and longer residual control—collectively encapsulated in three terms; Broader, Stronger, Longer.

What do we mean by “Broader, Stronger, Longer”?

Broader

The broader spectrum of Revysol enables it to tackle a diverse range of pathogens, including some pathogens with other MOA resistance. Such a broad spectrum of control also makes it effective across various crops. Initial registrations encompassed 13 crops, including staples like corn, soybeans, and sugar beets, and future expansions included cotton and peanuts. Revysol was designed to make a significant impact nationally, as well as globally.

Stronger

Stronger activity is another hallmark of Revysol; its formulation allows for rapid uptake and curative action, boasting ten times the binding strength of competing triazoles. The flexible binding ability of this molecule allows it to bind more strongly within disease binding cites, which facilitates greater intrinsic activity and disease control even under high-pressure conditions.

Longer

Lastly, Revysol offers longer residual control, providing up to two additional weeks of protection compared to other fungicide brands. This is achieved through its unique technology, which promotes a gradual release of the active ingredient from inner leaf reservoirs, ensuring sustained efficacy over time.
